HELLFIRE

Sometimes, experimentation yields incredible results, and the Hellfire bags are no exception. Born out of sheer curiosity, the Hellfire series brings a unique option of fast control to the table. Mimicking the same speed range of the popular Air Force 1 bags, we sought to apply the same range of speeds on the higher end of the speed scale, and the results are deadly. With these bags in the right hands, the Hellfire is sure to make for some incredible shots, and having a flex score of 4, they have just the right amount of softness and stiffness to them, making them one hell of a bag series.

These Hellfire Cornhole Toss bags are ACL, American Cornhole League,  approved for using during ACL, American Cornhole League, sanctioned competitions.

    Great set of bags

Posted by Brandon Cook on 24th Nov 2020

I was skeptical about the material, then I received them and I am very impressed on how these bags move. The slick side moves well on any board in any condition. The sticky side has just enough bite you can still throw a block. I am very impressed and just ordered the apaches and the bombers waiting on them to arrive can’t wait. All and all a great bag that’s very easy to throw.

    Hellfire bags

Posted by Scott on 12th Oct 2020

I really like the feel of these bags. Not too loose or firm. The slow side is a bit faster than I anticipated but I'm getting used to them. The fast side is as fast as any bag I have. Great for pushing and sliding into the cracks. These will be my go to bags for sure under medium, medium fast to slow conditions. Might be too fast for me under fast conditions. Overall very happy with WGC and their product and the price is right too!

Favorite bags I’ve played so far.

Posted by Dan on 11th Oct 2020

I bought these bags after playing a few games with some borrowed Vipers at a local league gathering, and deciding that although I liked them, I needed something that was a bit slower and a little firmer, and these bags fit that description perfectly. In regular (inside/low humidity) conditions, I use the slow side for most throws because if I hit them middle of the board but miss the hole on the slide-in, they stop before they get to the end of the board, and I use the fast side for pushes and bullies. They didn’t take long to break in either. I did a “hole test” (lay the bag flat over the hole and see if it drops in under its own weight) new right out of the package, and they flexed a bit, but did not drop in unless I slapped the board. But after an hour of throwing them, they passed the hole test. No need to do the “fabric softener soak and wash” break in process. They have about 10 hours of play on them at this point, and are very hole friendly and feel great in the hand. Not too floppy or too firm. I can use a higher angle “lob” throw on the slow side for a block placement, and still have no problem using the next bag on the fast side to push them both in. The interesting thing for me is how they play as the temperature drops and the humidity goes up. I live in the Pacific NW, and when we play outside, as the sun goes down, the temperature drops, the humidity increases, and the boards slow WAY DOWN. People playing vipers and Game Changers (the preferred bags in this area by the better players) have to modify their throwing style because in humid conditions, those bags slow way down (the Game Changer fast side won’t slide much, if at all on a damp board). But with the Hellfires, the slow side slows down a bit, to a roughly 4.5 to 5 from the normal 6.3, and the fast side only slows to an (roughly) 8.5 to a 9. In those conditions, you can play them like a traditional stick/slide bag and still use the fast side to slide up into the hole and do pushes or bullies. My favorite bags before getting the Hellfires were a borrowed set of Vapors, but they were still a little floppier than I wanted, and the suede side was too slow to use for anything but blocking or airmail attempts (great for blocks), and the fast side was good for pushes, but a little too fast for my taste for “normal” slide shots, so I had to modify my throw, power wise. After getting the Hellfires and breaking them in, I played a few games against myself: Hellfires vs Vapors. The Hellfires were more accurate for me, and once I got my lob dialed in with them (for blocks), the Hellfires were consistently winning almost every inning against the Vapors. The Vapor is a good bag, but the Hellfire fits my throwing/playing style much better. I’ve found my “go to” bag with the Hellfires. I’ll be buying a set of Air Force Ones soon (when they’re back in stock) to use on really fast boards (and for friends who don’t own their own bags to use when we play), but for “normal speed” boards, the Hellfires are excellent in both dry and humid conditions. Another thing I really like about these bags is that the feeling of the different materials on each side isn’t radically different. On many bags, when the difference in the tactile feeling of the bag’s two sides means if you get a good throw with one side of the bag, but on the other side, the difference in how it catches/releases off your fingers makes for a weaker throw on one side of the bag. Both sides of the Hellfires release off the fingers roughly the same, so my accuracy has improved when throwing the other side of the bag. They also don’t kick when landing flat and hard after a high angle lob throw (either from an airmail attempt, or to lay down a block), so if your aim is good, you don’t have to worry about an unintended bounce sending the bag in an unexpected direction. They are also built well and WGC’s customer service was top notch all the way. I’m a WGC customer for life.

    My go to bags

Posted by shannon vodry on 2nd Oct 2020

These are my new go to bags. Took very little effort to break them in. Very hole friendly. I compare the fast side to my gamechangers. Great slide in. Stick side is great and stops right where I need it. Bags don't kick once I broke them in ensuring they go right where I throw them.

    Good Fast/Faster Option

Posted by Rex S on 28th Sep 2020

Really good bags they took a little getting used to for me, since they do not have a traditional "Stick" side. The more you throw them the better they get. Super hole friendly! By the description I thought they would actually be a little bit faster, but none the less they are a solid bag. I have Apaches OTW to try for some more speed!

    You always remember your first

This would be a five-star if not for the delayed shipping, but the staff at West Georgia Cornhole was apologetic and courteous, and my bags shipped on the 18th business day after my order. As for the bags, these are the absolute first competition-level bags I've ever purchased. I've played for just under a year, and I wanted to take the next step in my game. Note, I've only played outside, and in the high desert of New Mexico, which makes the boards hot and fast under the beating sun. These are fast bags - not the fastest - but on a 10 scale, the fast side is probably an 8.5, and the slower side is probably a 6 to 6.5. Mind you, the slow side is not a sticky side by any means. The material is a heavier burlap, and the faster side is a more tightly meshed burlap fabric. You can't play the low throw, power speed game with these bags. You have to give it a little more elevation on the slower side, and the block game is doable with precision. The best thing about these bags is the forgiveness around the hole. Because both sides are relatively quick, if you have a shot that catches a portion of the hole, chances are, it'll end up dropping. In terms of the type of players that are best served with this bag, it's not for the beginner. It's definitely best suited for the intermediate player and above, who has more control and precision with his/her shots. One added benefit that gives West Georgia Cornhole a leg up is the customization options. You can provide an image or a message, which WGC adds to the flip side of the bag. I don't know how long WGC will provide this customization offer, but they're doing it for no additional cost. Lastly, having gone to a few tournaments in recent weeks, I've had the opportunity to test out some of the industry's best bags. WGC stacks up with all of them. Definitely recommend .

Best Bags I Own And Thrown!

Posted by John Fredrick Markert on 17th Jan 2020

Bags came in a very timely manor. Feel broken in out the box and do break in very quickly. The hellfires feel great in your hand and the custom logo of my name on the bag looks excellent! Catches the eye. Deffinently a fast bag but has control with the sticky side with the right touch. They're very flexible!! I love the flex of the bag. U get a corner close to the hole and it pulls itself in. Best bags i have and will definitely buy more. I recommend these 1st to anybody over any other bag out! Thanks west georgia cornhole!
